I love your remark about Google returning to its senses. I feel like I'm drowning in emal. My inbox is shameful, absolutely shameful, and that sort of attitude laps over into the rest of my day. So I'm trying to get a handle on it all and take control of my workday. In this effort, I'm taking a look at Michael Linenberger's "Master Your Workday Now," with an emphasis on controlling the chaos. Among other things, the book covers how to overcome e-mail overload with effective e-mail approaches. It's really about task management and he says the in-box is a terrible way to manage tasks. And he has fixes for that! (Linenberger wrote a best-seller on Microsoft Outlook.) I don't use that program and you don't either -- but he knows his stuff.)
