T-Mobile MyTouch – improving battery life

For the first few days I really struggle with how fast the battery was draining on my new MyTouch. Then I discovered few gadgets from Android Market and life went back to normal. The enemy #1 is Wi-Fi. You should not have it on and expect your juice to run past few hours. If you are not using it – turn it off by ether going to settings and do it manually or by using WiFi OnOff widget. Same goes for bluetooth and GPS: if not using turn these off (there are free widgets for that too)

I also tried “smart” power management apps. Didn’t like it. Much simpler to just have 3 one-click button widgets then try to pre-configure various modes
