Android Marketplace – unable to update APK version

If you have applications on Android Market do not loose your original keystore or the password for that keystore. If you do and try to update your app the following will happen

You will be able to open Android Market page and “Upgrade Upload” dialog. You will be able to navigate to the APK file. You will see that file is processed and no error will be generated. However, the version number will not change and generally – you will not get new version on the market. So, hold on on that good old keystore file (it can be moved/copied across directories and machines). The mighty Google has been notified.

God forbid you’ve upgraded to Windows 7 – when using “Update Upload” dialog after clicking on “Browse” button your browser (that is any browser) will crash
